Oh yeah! Dekmantel Festival just released a teaser video by the UK video artist Jack Featherstone. He is famous for his abstract 3D works and already cooperated with James Holden and Simian Mobile Disco.
For the Dekmantel teaser video, Jack Featherstone used the wonderful track Gene Silencing by Dopplereffekt, which goes well with his abstract and futuristic landscapes.
Jack Featherstone says about his “Tomorrow`s Artefacts” video:
“For Dekmantel 2017 we created a virtual world in which various artefacts are captured going through a process of digitisation. The film explores various objects of antiquity as their outer surfaces begin to recede, giving way to scan lines and other analytical processes. The artefacts are being archived, perhaps protected for future generations. As this process is taking place the film goes on to depict the exterior hardware in which the digitisation process is taking place. Throughout the teaser film streams of code occasionally interject. Within them were hidden clues about the yet to be released festival line up.”
We cannot for the upcoming festival lineup!
