In September, we went to Berghain to see Efdemin, Dorisburg, and Nick Höppner, but only the opening stayed in my memories until today. Lux was responsible for these first four hours and she played the best opening I’ve been listening to in a long time: breaks, atmospheric tracks, and techno. Well, that’s basically it. But somehow it sounded homogeneous without getting boring. And even though, it was Berghain, her track selection made me feel like I was sitting at a friend’s couch and listening to our favourite tracks (except that I was dancing, of course).
Actually, I was expecting this sound and went especially early for her performance, as I heard her wonderful mix for the Crack Magazine:
Lately, the Nachtdigital crew dropped her mix from the last Nachti and it’s even better than the Crack mix.
So, you definitely shouldn’t miss her next performance. I think, Lux will be at Ohm in Berlin on the 6th of December.
